Canvas Bee Jacket with Fencing Veil Hood & Gloves – Forest Beekeeping Supply
$69.95
Regular price $59.95The jacket, the veil, and the gloves arrive together, ready for the hive. The Forest Beekeeping Supply Canvas Bee Jacket comes with its fencing veil attached and a pair of goatskin gloves matched to your jacket size in the box. The veil holds its mesh off your skin for airflow around your face and separation from the bees; it folds back between hive checks and unzips fully. And the jacket is built so our round veil (sold separately) zips onto the same jacket whenever you prefer that view. Zip up and the velcro strap closures seal the space over the brass front zipper completely, while double-stitched seams and snug elastic at the wrists and waist keep bees on the outside. When the day is done, unzip the veil, and the jacket goes in the washing machine — air dry and it is ready for the next inspection. One chest pocket and two lower pockets hold your hive tool, queen marker, and phone. The roomy fit layers over everyday clothes for men and women, in sizes S through 2XL — check the size chart so fit isn’t a guess. From your first package of bees to a full backyard apiary, this is the classic canvas beekeeping jacket, done properly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it come with a veil?
Yes — the fencing veil hood is already attached to the jacket. No assembly required. It folds back between hive checks and unzips fully for removal or storage.
Can the hood be removed or swapped?
Yes. The veil unzips completely from the jacket. It’s also compatible with our round veil (sold separately), which zips onto the same jacket if you prefer that style.
Does it protect against stings?
Raw canvas cotton is one of the most trusted fabrics in beekeeping — chosen for its dense weave and durability. This jacket is built to the same standard. Pair it with the included goatskin gloves for full upper-body coverage.
What’s the difference between a fencing veil and a round veil?
The fencing veil gives you a wider, more open field of view — great for most beekeepers. If you prefer a closer-fitting round veil, it zips directly onto this same jacket (sold separately). Either way, you’re covered.
How do I stay cool wearing a canvas jacket?
Mist the jacket lightly with water before or during hive inspections. The canvas holds moisture well and creates a cooling effect as it evaporates — a tip shared by many of our customers.
Is it machine washable?
Yes. Unzip and remove the hood first, then machine wash the jacket. Air dry for best results.
What size should I order?
The jacket is designed with a roomy fit that layers over everyday clothes. Check the size chart and when in doubt, size up — a slightly larger fit improves airflow and keeps fabric away from your body.
