Custom Jacket or Suit
🧵 How to Measure for Your Custom Beekeeping Suit or Jacket
To ensure your beekeeping gear fits perfectly—providing both comfort and protection—please follow these simple steps to take your measurements accurately.
📐 What to Wear While Measuring
- Wear light, fitted clothing (no bulky layers).
- Stand upright and relaxed.
- Use inches.
📏 Required Measurements
-
🧥 Jacket Measurements
-
Arm Length: Start at the top of the shoulder where the sleeve begins, and measure down the outside of the arm to the wrist bone. Keep the arm slightly bent.
-
Shoulder Width: Measure from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other, straight across the back.
-
Waist to Neck: Measure vertically from your natural waist (narrowest part of your torso) up to the base of your neck, where a shirt collar would sit.
-
Chest: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your armpits and across your shoulder blades. Keep the tape level and snug, not tight.
🕴️ Suit Measurements

-
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the belly button.
-
Chest: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your armpits and across your shoulder blades. Keep the tape level and snug, not tight.

-
Inner Leg (Inseam): Measure from the crotch down the inside of the leg to the ankle bone.

🐝 Pro Tips for a Perfect Fit
- Add 1–2 inches to each measurement if you plan to wear thick clothing underneath.
- If you're between sizes, size up for better mobility and ventilation.
- For children or petite adults, please mention age and body type for better tailoring.
- If you have unique needs (e.g., longer arms, broader shoulders), feel free to note them in your order.
🛡️ Why Accurate Sizing Matters
A well-fitted beekeeping suit:
- Prevents gaps where bees could enter 🐝
- Allows full range of motion for hive work
- Keeps you cool and comfortable in all seasons
